Event enquiries

Will the event be live-streamed?

Presentations in the main room of the showcase will be live streamed via the Data and Digital Showcase website on day 1 of the showcase only. To watch the live stream, go to dds.cesphn.org.au  

Are there networking opportunities at the showcase?

There will be time to network at the showcase during breaks, and at the networking drinks on 5 August. There is also an optional dinner, which attendees have pre-booked for, on 6 August which will allow for networking.

What is the cancellation/substitution policy?

Email events@cesphn.com.au if you are unable to make it and would like to send someone else in your place.

When will the showcase start and finish?

Tea and coffee will be available from 8.00 am on Tuesday 5 August and the official showcase will kick off at 9.30 am. Day 1 will close at 6.00 pm after networking drinks.

Day 2 – Wednesday 6 August – will begin at 9.00 am and finish at 4.30 pm before the showcase dinner at 6.30 pm.

Day 3 – Thursday 7 August – will begin at 9.00 am and finish at 1.30 pm.

Can I still register to attend the Showcase Dinner?

Registration to attend the Showcase Dinner closed in July. Tickets are no longer available for purchase.

How do I choose the concurrent session I want to attend, and can I then change this?

On your app, click on the “Session Selection” icon. If you need to change your selection, select the correct concurrent topic from the listing and click the blue submit button at the bottom of the screen.

Will I have the opportunity to ask questions during sessions?

In the plenaries, there will be 10 minutes at the end for questions. You can submit questions for plenary speakers via the official showcase app. No live questions will be asked during the plenary sessions. Please click on the Agenda icon on the app and navigate to the session you are in to submit your question in the “Submit a question” section.

In the concurrent sessions, there will be 5 minutes at the end of each session where you can ask questions directly to the presenter.

Is there a networking dinner on Tuesday 5 August?

The official showcase dinner is on Wednesday 6 August at Watersedge for those that have registered and paid. The official Showcase networking drinks will be at the showcase venue on Tuesday 5 August, from 5.00 pm. We understand an IT solutions organisation has approached showcase attendees to attend a dinner on Tuesday 5 August. Please note, this event is not endorsed by the showcase organisers or aligned with the showcase in any way. Rest assured that no attendee information has been shared with any external organisations. Will the slides from the showcase be published?

We will be sharing the live recording of the Acacia Room on Day 1, which has the presentation slideshows within it.

Venue and accommodation

Is the event accessible?

InterContinental is accessible to wheelchair users via the Macquarie Street entrance (117 Macquarie Street). There are lifts to every floor in the building.

Are there special rates for accommodation?

There is a 10% discount for PHN attendees at the InterContinental Sydney. To book, please use this link: Event Special. Please visit the accommodation section of this site for a list of alternative venues.

What parking arrangements are available at the venue?

For all parking, transfers and transport information accessing the venue please visit www.sydney.intercontinental.com/hotel/location/

Where do I go to register for the Showcase?

Go to level two via the lift or stairs and check in at the registration desk in the lobby area outside the Acacia Room.

Do I need to check in every day?

Yes. Please check in and collect your nametag from the registration desk on level two on your first day at the showcase. Please check in by scanning the QR code on your nametag at the function room doors for days 2 and 3.

Can I get a replacement nametag if I’ve lost/forgotten mine?

See staff at the registration desk on level two to get a replacement nametag.

I don't know my App PIN /Password - how do I get this?

All instructions for how to download the Event app will be emailed to attendees on Monday 28 July.

If you are at the showcase and unable to access the app, please visit the team at the registration desk for assistance. Alternately, you will find your login and App PIN in your emails. Search for the “Data and Digital Showcase 2025 – Download the App” email from events@cesphn.com.au.

What food can I eat if I have dietary requirements?

All buffet food will have a label identifying it and listing any allergens that it may contain. Alternate catering options will be provided for guests should the buffet options not meet their requirements. All guests with allergies and dietary requirements are encouraged to ask a member of the team if they are unsure or have any questions.

What is the Wi-Fi password?

Free Wi-Fi access is available for the duration of the showcase via the InterContinental connection:

Does the hotel have a business centre?

There is a business centre open to guests of the hotel only. It is located in the groups arrival lounge on the ground floor.

Where do I go for first aid assistance?

Please speak with staff at the registration desk on level two for all first aid or medical requirements. Please phone 000 in the case of a medical emergency.

Do you have access to a phone charger?

The registration desk on level two has a range of phone chargers available for use at the desk.

Is there a cloak room or baggage storage for luggage during the conference?

Please see the concierge team in the hotel lobby to store luggage. Please note there is no dedicated cloak check at the hotel.

Do you have a lost property?

Lost property is managed by the hotel housekeeping team. Please speak to the team at registration who can put you in touch with housekeeping for any lost items.
